Wicklow & Wexford Coast Images
08th March 2010
If you have being following my Blog entries than you will know all about my recent Wicklow Coast Trip. I meet up with photographer Gavin Lyons. A Irishman who now lives and works in Austria. We contacted each other through friends on Twitter. Gavin was coming back home to Ireland for a weeks holidays so we decided to head down towards Wicklow for a couple days shooting the coastal area.

We had the best weather possible over our days shooting from the very early sunrise to the evening sunset. Mind you we did not do must sunset images as being over on the East coast it was not that possible. However we still managed to get 10 hours a day shooting up and down the Wicklow Coast form Brittas Bay to Wicklow Head. We also ventured further south on the Wexford coast also stopping of at places such as Ballymoney and Kilmichael.

Over our couple of days shooting the coastal area we did manage to get some wonderful images as you can see here, but I also got some interesting non-landscape type images. Using certain elements founds and using them as the subject was interesting ie closeups of rocks, wood and water features to name but a few. I have not got around to processing these image yet but will do so soon.

I would like to thank Gavin and his parents for the use of their home in Wicklow town. This was used as our base for the trip which came in very handy for charging batteries as the clod weather was playing havoc with their performance. It was also great to be able to kick back and download our days images onto the laptops and do a quick edit in Aperture.
What's next? The next trip will be down to the Dingle Peninsula at the end of March. I have a list as long as my arm with location to capture.
