Courtmacsherry-bay

Gold Award from the Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) in 2009
This image shows the sun setting over Courtmacsherry Bay, County Cork, one summers evening. Atfer waiting for about 3-4 hours for the right light and the tide to go out to reveal the rock formations in the foreground. The clouds did break up a little to allow the sun rays through and light up the pools of water around the rocks. The beach is located near Lispatrick on the way out to the Old Head of Kinsale.
